We are looking for a versatile individual who works best independently on a broad range of projects that will lead to academic publications. The projects in the area of Chemical Information Management will be centered on the applications of chemotyping in molecular informatics. Some projects will be highly applied, while others will be of a more exploratory nature.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in computational chemistry, medicinal chemistry or physical chemistry, with a good grasp of the challenges of software development for chemical applications or and M.Sc. with equivalent experience. The candidate must have good programming skills in particular using C++, this is an essential requisite. Knowledge of statistics and chemoinformatics are also important. Demonstrated ability to work independently is needed.Ideally, the candidate should be local to Southern California, since we will not cover relocation expenses.
